In diseases of the kidneys and the urogenital tract, such as urinary tract infections, stones, tumors, glomerulonephritis or pyelonephritis, the parameters nitrite, protein and leukocytes are of particular importance.Metabolic diseases such as diabetes mellitus can be detected by measuring glucose and ketones.In addition, liver and hemolytic diseases can be detected by measuring bilirubin and urobilinogen.

The results of the urine test strips serve as the basis for further laboratory tests.

A special feature of Analyticon's urine test strips is the highly effective protection against interference caused by ascorbic acid, also known as vitamin C. Ascorbic acid is absorbed into the body through foods, vitamin preparations and as a preservative and, at high concentrations in the urine, can influence the sensitivity of conventional tests and lead to false-negative results.The CombiScreen® PLUS urine test strips have active protection for the glucose and blood test field, which effectively excludes interference caused by ascorbic acid.

The CombiScreen® test strip delivers a clear color change in the clinically relevant range from negative to positive, ensuring a clear result.The special sensitivity of the test fields delivers meaningful results for every parameter, even at low concentrations.For example, glucose reacts at just 50 mg/dl.
