Application of the indicator paper

To check urine pH, collect fresh urine in a cup.With dry fingers, tear off a test strip and immerse it in the urine for about a second.Pull out the strip and shake off any excess liquid.The strip changes color depending on the pH value at the wetted area.Compare the color to the color scale within two minutes in daylight and read the value that is closest to the discoloration.The reading accuracy is ±0.3 pH.Dispose of the used strips in the household waste and seek expert advice when assessing them.The determined pH value is entered into a control table to determine the influence of diet or illnesses on the acid-base ratio.

If the measured pH value is between 5.2 and 6.0 or below 7 for several consecutive measurements, taking the alkaline mixture Alkala "N" is recommended.If the pH value is above 7.0, taking Alkala "N" is not necessary.The pH value is checked in the morning before breakfast and before taking Alkala "N".The next measurement then takes place in the evening before dinner.

Instructions for use and storage

In the case of excretory disorders such as anuria, renal insufficiency, "dehydration" (exsiccosis due to lack of water) and alkalosis, Alkala "N" should only be taken under medical supervision.Store the indicator paper dry and protected from light with undamaged protective packaging (film).If the test strips are opened and the protective film is damaged, you should store them away from environmental influences.The usability of unused test strips is not affected by any discoloration.Do not use the indicator strips after the expiry date printed on the packages.
