The Vasofix Safety Cannula 16 G 1.7x50 mm Gray is an indwelling safety venous cannula with an injection port.It is specifically designed to reduce the risk of needlestick injuries and associated infections.The cannula has a FEP or polyurethane catheter, which enables gentle placement in the vein and ensures a complication-free stay.

Product features

The cannula offers excellent puncture properties thanks to an atraumatic cannula tip with a 3-facet cut geometry.It is equipped with four fully embedded X-ray contrast strips and has a hydrophobic blood catcher plug.It is also equipped with a removable lock closure cone and a lock attachment.The colored size coding makes handling easier.The cannula is latex and PVC-free and complies with the ISO-standard 10.555-1/5.

An integrated injection port allows medication to be administered quickly without having to puncture again.The cannula is designed for placement that is gentle on the veins and an indwelling period without complications.

Security features

The Vasofix Safety cannula has a self-activating clip technology that secures the needle tip immediately after it is pulled out.This safety clip prevents the needle from being used any further and cannot be bypassed.User habits only need to be adjusted slightly.
