Tea tree oil is extracted from the evergreen tree Melaleuca alternifolia, which is native to Australia.This tree belongs to the myrtle family and has no connection to the tea bush (Camellia sinensis).Of the over 300 Melaleuca varieties, only Melaleuca alternifolia produces the special tea tree oil, also known as tea tree oil.The quality of the oil is mainly determined by the content of cineole and terpinen-4-ol.A cineole content of less than 5% and a terpinen-4-ol content of at least 30% guarantee skin-friendly and effective quality.

Tea tree oil is used as a cosmetic for aroma care.To use, a maximum of 12 drops of the oil are mixed with 50 ml of organic almond oil.

Note: Tea tree oil is not suitable for consumption.
