Active ingredients and ingredients

Renacet 475 mg film-coated tablets contain 475 mg calcium acetate (anhydrous), equivalent to 120.25 mg calcium.The other ingredients are: Tablet core: corn starch, sucrose (sugar), gelatin, carboxymethyl starch sodium (type A), croscarmellose sodium, magnesium stearate.Film coating: hypromellose, refined castor oil, saccharin sodium, talc, orange flavor.

Contraindications

Renacet 475 mg must not be taken if you are allergic to calcium acetate or one of the other ingredients, if you have low phosphate concentrations in the blood, if you have increased calcium concentrations in the blood, if you have increased excretion of calcium in the urine associated with the occurrence of calcium-containing kidney stones, if you have decalcifying tumors and secondary ulcers in the bones (metastases in the bone tissue), if you have severe kidney failure without dialysis treatment, if you have constipation, if you have known narrowing of the colonabnormal bone decalcification as a result of long periods of lack of exercise (lying down, wheelchair).

Dosage

Always take Renacet 475 mg exactly as your doctor has told you.Unless otherwise prescribed by the doctor, the usual dose is: Adults: 1-2 film-coated tablets for breakfast, 1-2 film-coated tablets for a snack, 2-6 film-coated tablets for the main meal, 2-4 film-coated tablets for dinner.The dosage varies from patient to patient.Since Renacet 475 mg binds the phosphate from food, the number of film-coated tablets must be adjusted according to the amount of food consumed and thus the phosphate content consumed.The tablets must be swallowed whole and with a little liquid.
