Fortimel Energy Multi Fiber is a high-calorie drinking food with fiber that was specially developed for patients with a functional gastrointestinal tract.The product is available without a prescription.When used over a long period of time, the prebiotic fiber mixture MultiFibre promotes the normal colonization of bacteria in the intestines and helps regulate stool quantity and consistency.

Shake well before use.The product is ready to use and tastes best when chilled.The recommended daily amount depends on the type of diet.For exclusive nutrition, 5 to 7 bottles per day are recommended, while for supplementary nutrition, 1 to 3 bottles per day are sufficient.Alternatively, the dosage can be based on a doctor’s recommendation.

Storage conditions

The product should be stored in a cool and dry place.After opening, the sealed bottle can be stored in the refrigerator for a maximum of 24 hours.

Indications

Fortimel Energy Multi Fiber is particularly suitable for patients with increased energy requirements, e.g.B. in consumptive diseases such as tumor diseases or serious infections.It is also suitable for impaired intestinal function, e.g.B. in constipation or after antibiotic therapy.

Contraindications

Fortimel Energy Multi Fiber must not be used if enteral nutrient supply is generally prohibited or if there is an intolerance to one of the ingredients it contains.It is suitable for ages 6 and up.

Dosage

When eating exclusively, adults receive 30 kcal per kg of body weight per day, which corresponds to approximately 1 drinking bottle per 10 kg of body weight.Adolescents need 40 to 50 kcal per kg of body weight per day, which corresponds to around 1.5 drinking bottles per 10 kg of body weight.In the case of supplementary nutrition, the dosage should be adjusted individually.
