Thuja essence - instructions for use

Thuja essence is a tincture for external use.The active ingredient is Thuja occidentalis e summitatibus LA 20%.It is an anthroposophical medicine.

Areas of application

Thuja Essence is used according to the anthroposophical knowledge of humanity and nature.These include the stimulation of the sensory organization in cases of digestive weakness with disturbed internal food intake and the predominance of unformed metabolic processes in the head area and the skin area.Examples of areas of application include accompanying treatment for inflammation of the ear (otitis), inflammation of the oral mucosa (stomatitis), eczema, warts and other growths on the skin and mucous membrane.

Contraindications

Thuja Essence must not be used if you are known to be hypersensitive to the active ingredient.Due to the ingredient thujone, Thuja Essence must not be used on mucous membranes during pregnancy or breastfeeding.Children under 12 years of age are also not allowed to use Thuja Essence on mucous membranes due to the thujone component.

Precautions and warnings

Thuja Essence should not be used for skin growths without medical advice and does not replace other medicines prescribed by a doctor.If symptoms persist or are unclear, a doctor should be consulted.During pregnancy and breastfeeding, Thuja Essence should only be used as compresses and baths after consulting a doctor.The product contains 25% alcohol by volume.

Interactions

To date, there are no known interactions with other medications.

Dosage and method of administration

Unless otherwise prescribed, compresses and rinses can be made with 1 to 2 teaspoons of tincture in approx. 1/4 liter of water.For baths, 2 to 3 tablespoons of tincture can be added to 1 full bath.

Duration of application

Treatment of an acute illness should be completed after 2 weeks.If there is no improvement within 2-5 days, you should see a doctor.The treatment of chronic diseases requires consultation with the doctor.Rinsing the mucous membranes with Thuja Essence should not be carried out for longer than 2 weeks without consulting a doctor.

Side effects

Hypersensitivity reactions may occur in sensitized people.In this case, you should stop taking the medicine and consult a doctor.
