Accutrend® Plus is a versatile handheld device for measuring cholesterol, triglycerides, glucose and lactate in the blood.It is suitable for use in doctor's offices, clinics as well as for self-monitoring at home under medical supervision and in sports.The measurement is carried out using capillary blood and only requires a small amount of blood.

The Accutrend® Plus system offers a convenient and quick determination of the parameters mentioned.The measurement results are available in the following times: cholesterol in 180 seconds, triglycerides in 174 seconds, glucose in 12 seconds and lactate in 60 seconds.The device automatically carries out performance and device self-checks and recognizes the parameters and the code strips.The test strips can be stored at room temperature.

The Accutrend® Plus measuring device stores up to 100 measured values per parameter, including date, time and other characteristics.It is characterized by high precision and accuracy across the entire measuring range.

Contents of the packaging

The packaging contains the Accutrend Plus meter, instructions for use and four batteries (1.5 V, type AAA).

Application

To use the Accutrend® Plus meter, turn it on and insert the test strip into the test strip guide.A flashing arrow prompts you to open the measuring chamber cover to apply a blood sample.

Collect a drop of blood from your fingertip or earlobe and place the free-hanging drop of blood directly onto the yellow sample application pad of the Accutrend® test strip.Do not touch the order field with your finger.Alternatively, you can apply the blood sample outside the system as described in the user manual.

Close the cover of the measuring chamber and wait for the measurement result.The Accutrend® Plus measuring device carries out all further steps automatically.After the measurement time has elapsed, the result is shown on the display.Values outside the measuring range are displayed as "Hi" (overshoot) or "Lo" (underflow).

Technical data

The permissible temperature during measurement varies depending on the parameters: glucose and cholesterol from 18 °C to 35 °C, triglycerides from 18 °C to 30 °C and lactate from 15 °C to 35 °C.

Measuring ranges:

Blood sugar: 20 to 600 mg/dl (1.1 to 33.3 mmol/l)

Cholesterol: 150 to 300 mg/dl (3.88 to 7.76 mmol/l)

Triglycerides: 70 to 600 mg/dl (0.80 to 6.86 mmol/l)

Lactate: 0.8 to 21.7 mmol/l (blood value), 0.7 to 26 mmol/l (plasma)

The Accutrend® Plus System can be stored at temperatures from -25°C to +70°C.The relative humidity should be between 10% and 85% (without condensation).A drop of fresh capillary blood is used as sample material.

The device stores up to 100 measured values, optionally with date, time and additional information for each parameter.It works on the principle of reflection photometry and has dimensions of 154 mm x 81 mm x 30 mm.The weight is 140 g (without batteries).The automatic switch-off occurs after two minutes without pressing a button.

Power is provided by four 1.5V-AAA-alkaline manganese batteries, enabling more than 1,000 measurements.The device belongs to protection class III.

Area of application

The Accutrend Plus measuring device is used to quantitatively determine the blood values of glucose, cholesterol, triglycerides and lactate.The measurement is carried out using reflection photometry using special test strips for each blood value.The device is suitable for professional use and self-use, with the exception that it is not suitable for glucose self-monitoring.
