CALCIUM JODATUM C1000 ED contains calcium iodate as the active ingredient, which is contained in an amount of 1000 micrograms in each tablet.The tablets are round, white and have a score line to make them easy to divide.Other ingredients include lactose, microcrystalline cellulose and magnesium stearate.

This medicine is used to prevent and treat iodine deficiency.Iodine is an essential nutrient necessary for the production of thyroid hormones.A deficiency can lead to various health problems, including enlarged and hypothyroidism.

The usual dosage is one tablet daily.The tablet should be swallowed whole with sufficient liquid.If necessary, the tablet can also be divided.The duration of use should be determined in consultation with a doctor or pharmacist.
