Instructions for use of Ampuwa plastic ampoules injection/infusion solution

Ampuwa is a sterile and pyrogen-free water for injections that serves as a solvent for the preparation of parenteral solutions.It is used to dissolve or dilute medicines to be given as an injection (syringe) or infusion (vein drip).No prescription is required for this product.

Areas of application

Ampuwa is used as a solvent to dissolve and dilute medicines to be administered by injection or infusion.It is used in accordance with the instructions in the instructions for use of the respective medicine.

Important notes

Ampuwa must not be administered without the addition of medication as it is hypotonic and does not contain dissolved substances.This could lead to hemolysis, in which the red blood cells are destroyed.Only clear and colorless solutions in undamaged containers should be used.When using large volumes, the ion balance should be checked regularly.

Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking any other medicines, even if they are taken without a prescription.The risks during pregnancy and breastfeeding depend on the medicine added.

Application

Ampuwa is administered as an injection or infusion after preparing a ready-to-use medicinal preparation.The dosage and duration of use depend on the information for the medication to be dissolved or diluted.When administering larger quantities, the electrolyte and water balance must be taken into account.

Side effects

Storage

Keep Ampuwa out of the reach of children.Do not use the medicine after the expiry date stated on the label and carton.Ampuwa is only intended for one-time withdrawal.
