Instructions for use of H&S bearberry tea

H&S Bearberry leaves are a medicinal tea that is used for inflammatory diseases of the urinary tract.No prescription is required for this product.

Areas of application

This tea is used for inflammatory diseases of the urinary tract.If you have blood in your urine, fever or symptoms that persist beyond seven days, you should consult a doctor.

Contraindications

Bearberry leaves should not be used by pregnant or breastfeeding women or children under 12 years of age, as there is no sufficient research on this.

Interactions

To date, there are no known interactions with other medications.

Dosage and application

Pour boiling water over a filter bag and let the tea steep for about 15 minutes.Alternatively, the tea can also be made with cold water and left to steep for several hours before briefly boiling it.Drink a cup of freshly prepared tea or cold extract 3-4 times a day.Without medical advice, preparations made from bearberry leaves should not be taken for longer than one week and no more than five times a year.

Overdose

You should not drink more tea than stated in the dosage instructions or prescribed by the doctor.An overdose can lead to gastrointestinal problems, blood in the urine and liver damage.In this case, a doctor should be consulted.

Side effects

Patients with sensitive stomachs may experience nausea and vomiting after drinking the tea.If you experience side effects, contact your doctor or pharmacist.

Durability and storage

You can find the expiry date on the packaging.Store the tea in the original packaging, protected from light and moisture and not above 25°C.Medicines should be kept out of the reach of children.

100 g of tea contains 100 g of bearberry leaves (Uvae ursi folium).The original pack contains 20 filter bags, each containing 2.7 g of medicinal tea.

Mode of action

The ingredients in bearberry, such as arbutin and tannins, have an antibacterial effect and inhibit the growth of fungi.Arbutin must be converted into its active form in the body to be effective.The tannins support the germicidal effect of arbutin.
