ILAST® HYDRACLEAN REINIGUNGSGEL

ILAST® HYDRACLEAN is a sterile gel for cleaning eyelid diseases, especially the eyelid margins, and all types of blepharitis.The hypoallergenic formulation has been tested by an ophthalmologist and is particularly suitable for use on ultra-sensitive, allergic and diseased skin.It allows you to remove scales, debris, secretions and crusts from the eyelids and eyelash roots and does not need to be washed off after cleansing. ILAST® HYDRACLEAN contains only a few selected nourishing ingredients such as hyaluronic acid and allantoin to moisturize the skin and support regeneration.

Ingredients and properties

The gel contains 0.2% hyaluronic acid and is available in a 50 ml bottle with an airless pump.This pump prevents germs, enables easy and precise dosing and is hypoallergenic.The gel is free of alcohol, perfume and preservatives.Once opened it has a shelf life of three months.

The importance of eyelid cleaning

Cleaning the eyelid edges with warm, moist compresses and subsequent eyelid edge massage is an important part of the treatment if so-called blepharitis (inflammation of the eyelid edge) is present.By loosening and removing incrustations on the edges of the eyelids with suitable cleansing gels, the drainage from the meibomian glands can be improved.Studies have shown that eyelid edge cleaning and care leads to less clogged meibomian glands, stabilization of the tear film and an increase in the lipid layer of the tear film.

Clean eyelids properly

Before cleaning your eyelids, please wash your hands thoroughly to avoid irritation to the sensitive mucous membranes.Place moist, warm compresses, such as cotton pads, on your closed eyes for a few minutes.Blocked secretions in the meibomian glands are liquefied.Thermal goggles can increase this effect.

To express accumulated secretions in the glands on the lower eyelid, look up.Gently, but with light pressure, massage the skin at the base of the eyelashes on the lower eyelid with a finger in circular movements.Close your eye for upper eyelid application.Using gentle pressure with your index finger, massage the skin at the base of the eyelashes in circular movements.You can also spread the liquid secretion from top to bottom with a damp cotton swab.

To clean the eyelid edges and remove secretions, place a pea-sized amount of ILAST® HYDRACLEAN on a cotton pad.Place the cotton pad on the eyelid and the base of the eyelashes with your eyes closed and massage gently from the inside out in circular movements.

How is ILAST® HYDRACLEAN used?

Turn the bottle head counterclockwise while holding the bottle body with your other hand.This unlocks the pump.When using for the first time, press the bottle head several times to pump the gel into the pump tube.Apply a pea-sized amount of ILAST® HYDRACLEAN to a compress or cotton pad.With your eyes closed, gently place the compress on the eyelid and the root of the eyelashes.Massage the eyelid with gentle circular movements.Repeat these steps on the other eye with a new compress.After application, ILAST® HYDRACLEAN does not need to be washed off.After use, close the pump by turning the bottle head clockwise.If the pump fails, press the bottle head several times to reactivate it.For external use on the skin.Can be used for 3 months after opening.

Does ILAST® HYDRACLEAN have to be washed off after cleaning?
