Instructions for use for CRATAEGUS Dilution vet., 250 ml
Information for use with the article Crataegus Dilution Vet. Important information (compulsory information): Crataegus ad usum vet. is a traditional medicinal product used to support cardiovascular function. It must not be used in horses used for food production. The product contains 44.7% alcohol by volume. Directions for use: Crataegus ad usum vet. is a liquid for oral administration and is used for dogs, cats and horses. It contains extracts of hawthorn fruits and leaves with flowers dissolved in ethanol. In addition, it contains other ingredients such as ethanol and purified water. Indications for use: Crataegus ad usum vet. is traditionally used to support cardiovascular function. It is a registered traditional medicinal product used on the basis of long-standing application. It must not be used in horses used for food production. Side effects: In cats, salivation may occur. If you notice side effects in your pet that are not listed in the package leaflet,please inform your veterinarian or pharmacist. Dosage: Dosage varies depending on the type of animal and body size. In general, it is recommended to administer Crataegus ad usum vet. 3-5 times daily. The exact dosage for horses, foals, dogs and cats is given in the package leaflet. One drop corresponds to 0.05 ml of liquid. Special storage instructions: Keep the medicinal product out of reach of children and do not store it above 30 °C. Do not use the product after the expiry date. Remains of the medicinal product in the container should be disposed of after the expiry date. Special warnings: Consult a veterinarian if symptoms of disease persist for more than 6 weeks, shortness of breath or swelling of the legs occurs. Crataegus ad usum vet. is not sufficient as sole treatment in heart failure requiring digitalis. Use during pregnancy and lactation: No information is available on the use of Crataegus ad usum vet. in pregnant or lactating animals. It should therefore only be used after benefit/risk assessment by the veterinarian. Interactions: There are no known interactions. Disposal: Unused medicinal products should preferably be handed in at hazardous waste collection points. Disposal via household waste should ensure that no misuse can occur. Disposal via sewage or drains is not permitted. Note from our pharmacists: Delivery is made in household quantities with a maximum of 15 packs per quarter.
