The Bolfo flea and tick protection tape for large dogs is an effective protection for dogs against fleas and ticks.It is available in a brown color and offers a duration of action of up to 4 months against fleas and up to 10 weeks against ticks.The collar is approximately 66 cm long and is suitable for large dogs.

Areas of application

The Bolfo flea and tick protection tape is used to combat fleas (Ctenocephalides spp.) and ticks (Ixodes ricinus) on dogs.The active ingredient is released continuously and kills fleas within a few hours.Ticks that are sucked in are killed after about a day and can then be easily removed or fall off spontaneously.

Mode of action

The Bolfo flea and tick protection tape contains the active ingredient (2-isopropoxyphenyl)(methyl carbamate), also known as propoxur.This active ingredient is present in powder form on the collar and is constantly distributed over the entire surface of the animal's body via the fatty film on the skin.This ensures an even distribution of the active ingredient and prevents overdosing.

Other components:

Dibutyl adipate, Propylene glycol octanoate decanoate, Epoxidized soybean oil, Stearic acid, Titanium dioxide, Iron oxide hydrate, Iron (III) oxide, Iron(II,III) oxide, Polyvinyl chloride.

Contraindications

The Bolfo flea and tick protection tape should not be used if you are known to be hypersensitive to any of the ingredients.It must also not be used on sick or convalescent animals, puppies under 3 months of age, food-producing animals and animals with extensive skin lesions.

Dosage

Remove the Bolfo flea and tick protection tape from the sealed protective packaging, unroll it and remove the plastic bars that are on the inside of the collar.Place the band loosely around your dog's neck and cut off the excess end if it is longer than 2 cm.The distance should be approximately two fingers wide between the neck and the band and should be checked regularly.

A release mechanism loosens the band with light to medium tension and a predetermined breaking point also prevents it from getting caught.

Patient information

The veterinary medicinal product is irritating to the eyes and may potentially cause an allergic reaction if it comes into contact with the skin.After putting on the collar, wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water.Avoid contact of eyes and skin with the collar.Do not eat, drink or smoke during use.Dogs wearing the Bolfo flea and tick protection band are not allowed to swim in open water.
