Areas of application

Gencydo 1% is an anthroposophic medicine used to treat and prevent allergic diseases, especially those of the respiratory tract such as hay fever.It is based on the anthroposophical knowledge of humanity and nature.

Active ingredients

The injection solution contains the active ingredients Citrus limon, Succus and aqueous extract of Cydonia oblonga, Fructus rec.The exact amounts of active ingredients vary depending on the concentration of the preparation.

Application

Gencydo is either injected subcutaneously or inhaled.It should always be used as directed by your doctor.A nebulizer is used for inhalation and the solution can be diluted with sterile 0.9% sodium chloride solution.

The dose and frequency of use depend on the age and concentration of the preparation.Schoolchildren aged 10 to 14 can use Gencydo 0.1%, 1.0% and 3.0%, while teenagers aged 14 and over and adults can use Gencydo 0.1%, 1.0%, 3%, 5% and 7.

If possible, preventative treatment begins in January or February.Injection treatment is carried out 1-2 times weekly with 1 ml of the lowest concentration.When the symptoms of the disease begin, higher concentrations and daily use are switched to.

The inhalation treatment is carried out 1-2 times a day with 1-2 ml of injection solution.Children up to 10 years of age should receive inhalation treatment instead.The duration of use is determined by the attending physician.

Side effects

When injecting Gencydo 3%, 5% and 7%, irritation symptoms may occur around the injection site, which are desirable and part of the therapeutic principle of action.There are no known side effects for Gencydo 0.1% and 1.

Composition

The composition varies depending on the concentration of the preparation.Each ampoule contains citrus limon, succus and aqueous extract of Cydonia oblonga, Fructus rec.as well as the other ingredients sodium chloride and water for injections.

Storage

The medicine should not be stored above 25 °C and should not be used after the expiry date stated on the ampoules and carton.
