Decoderm base cream

The Decoderm base cream is used to support the treatment of chronic skin diseases such as eczema or psoriasis.It is also suitable as part of interval therapy for skin diseases that are treated with corticosteroids.The cream offers a fat-rich base and is particularly suitable for neurodermatitis, psoriasis and other chronic skin diseases.

Application

The cream is applied thinly to the affected skin areas 1 to 3 times a day.It is advisable to rub the cream in lightly with your fingertips after applying it.Treatment should be continued until the skin symptoms disappear.The cream is not intended for use on the eyes or mucous membranes.

Notes

Paraffin-based care creams such as Decoderm base cream can easily be ignited by open flames, especially if they come into contact with bandages or clothing.It is recommended to stay away from fire and flames and not to smoke while using the cream.Do not use the medicine after the expiry date stated on the package.

Ingredients

1 g of cream contains the following ingredients: 2 mg sorbic acid, 1 mg highly disperse silicon dioxide, 20 mg medium-chain triglycerides, 30 mg glycerol monostearate 40-50%, 30 mg thick paraffin, 50 mg propylene glycol, 80 mg polysorbate 40, 90 mg cetostearyl alcohol and 320 mg white petroleum jelly.The cream also contains purified water and sodium hydroxide as other ingredients.

Area of application

The Decoderm base cream is used to support the symptomatic treatment of milder forms of chronic dermatitis and eczema.These include seborrheic dermatitis, neurodermatitis constitutionalis, ichthyosis and psoriasis vulgaris.The cream can also be used as part of an interval treatment for skin diseases that are treated with corticosteroids, such as chronic eczema and dermatitis or psoriasis.

Contraindications

The cream must not be used if you are allergic to any of the ingredients.It is not suitable for use on the eyes or mucous membranes.

Dosage

The cream is applied thinly to the affected skin areas 1 to 3 times a day.The duration of treatment depends on the type of illness and is determined individually by the doctor.No prescription is required for this product.
