Directions for use of Dermatop Basisfettsalbe: - Dermatop Basisfettsalbe is a corticoid-free fatty ointment for the care of stressed skin. - The skin fulfils various tasks such as protection against mechanical, chemical and physical influences. - The skin consists of the subcutis, dermis and epidermis. - The subcutis stores fluid and fat, protects and shapes the body. - The dermis forms the supporting structure of the skin and contains blood vessels and nerves. - The epidermis is thin and horny and renews itself about every 4 weeks. - Sebaceous and sweat glands protect the skin from external influences. - Dermatop Basisfettsalbe supports the stressed skin in fulfilling its natural tasks. - It is used after skin diseases have subsided or when the skin is exposed to chemicals or the sun. - The ointment contains white vaseline, glycerol monooleate and octyldodecanol, among other ingredients. - It should be stored at room temperature and not used after the expiry date. - It is available in a tube containing 100 g of ointment. - The product is manufactured by Sanofi-Aventis Deutschland GmbH and has been available since September 2005.
