Contraindications

Traumeel S must not be taken if you are allergic to Achillea millefolium (sheep's gift), Matricaria recutita (chamomile), Echinacea (coneflower), Arnica montana (Bergwohlverleih) or other composite plants, one of the active ingredients or one of the other ingredients of this medicine.

Dosage

Recommended use of Traumeel S drops: Unless otherwise prescribed, 10 drops 3 times a day.Traumeel S should not be taken for longer than 14 days without medical advice.If the symptoms last longer than 14 days, a doctor should be consulted.

Traumeel S is suitable for use in adults and children aged 2 years and over.The use of this medicine is not recommended for progressive systemic diseases such as tuberculosis, sarcoidosis, systemic diseases of the white blood cell system such as leukemia, autoimmune diseases such as inflammatory diseases of the connective tissue (collagenosis), multiple sclerosis, immunodeficiency (AIDS/HIV-infections) and immunosuppression (e.g. after organ or bone marrow transplantation).

In individual cases, allergic reactions such as skin rash, itching, rarely facial swelling, shortness of breath, dizziness and drop in blood pressure have been observed for medicines containing preparations from echinacea.Patients with atopic diseases (e.g. neurodermatitis, allergic asthma, hay fever) may be at increased risk of allergic reactions.Therefore, the medicine should only be used by patients with atopic diseases after consulting their doctor.

In individual cases, taking medicines containing preparations from echinacea is associated with the occurrence of autoimmune diseases.With long-term use (longer than 8 weeks), a reduction in white blood cells was reported in an isolated case.
