Replens is a moisturising vaginal gel with a 3-day effect. It relieves discomfort due to vaginal dryness and atrophy such as itching, burning and discomfort during intercourse. The gel forms a film on the vaginal skin and provides moisture and lubrication. It can be used every third day and is compatible with certain condoms. Replens does not contain hormones and can be used together with hormone replacement therapy. The gel is inserted into the vagina with a disposable applicator. It is well tolerated and available in different pack sizes. Replens is also suitable for women who suffer from vaginal dryness due to low oestrogen levels, such as during menopause or after gynaecological surgery. It can also be used for mucosal irritation due to cancer treatments.
