Ingredients

The main ingredients of the Extra Fresh Menthol pastilles are sorbitol, peppermint oil as a flavor, magnesium stearate as an anti-caking agent and aspartame as a sweetener.It is noted that aspartame contains a source of phenylalanine.

Story

The idea for these lozenges came from pharmacist James Lofthouse in 1865. He developed them specifically for the deep sea fishermen of Fleetwood to protect them from the harsh conditions of wind and water and to help them breathe freely and keep a clear head.
