Instructions for use for Panthenol® Spray promotes wound healing of the skin, 130 g
What is panthenol spray?
The skin has the ability to heal small and large wounds itself. However, with the right support, this process can be accelerated to reduce the risk of scarring and relieve unpleasant side effects such as itching. The panthenol spray is a tried and tested product that feels pleasant on the skin and does not cause painful burning or rubbing. It is self-absorbing and effectively supports wound healing, even in infants and small children.
What is panthenol spray for?
The panthenol spray contains the active ingredient dexpanthenol, which has been used to promote wound healing for over 60 years. It is suitable for the treatment of superficial skin damage and injuries such as abrasions, minor burns, cuts and mild sunburn. The spray can also be used on larger areas for diaper rash.Another area of application is sore spots on the nose caused by frequent blowing of the nose, for example when you have a cold.Dexpanthenol promotes the formation of new skin cells so that the skin grows back faster and healthier.
Mode of action
The active ingredient dexpanthenol in the panthenol spray is converted in the body to pantothenic acid, a vitamin from the B vitamin group.Dexpanthenol increases the moisture retention capacity of the skin, improves its elasticity and supports the formation of new skin cells. As a result, it contributes to the regeneration of the skin and also has anti-itching and anti-inflammatory properties.
Active ingredients / ingredients / ingredients
Ingredients of panthenol spray: 100 g of foam contains 4.63 g of dexpanthenol.Other ingredients are (2-ethylhexyl) alkanoate (C10 - C16) (thin wax), emulsifying cetostearalkyl alcohol (type A) (Ph.Eur.), thin paraffin, peroxyacetic acid, purified water as well as propane, butane and 2-methylpropane as blowing agents.

Apply the panthenol spray to the affected skin area one to several times a day.You can either spray it or apply it with your hands, especially on the face.Avoid contact with eyes and do not spray into mouth or nose.Shake the container well before use so that the contents foam up and can be distributed optimally.
When should you not use the panthenol spray?
If you have an allergy to dexpanthenol or other ingredients of the medicine, you must not use it.Other contraindications include previous illnesses such as asthma.Read the package leaflet to find out which conditions you should not use the spray for and, if necessary, seek medical advice.Caution is also advised when using it in the genital or anal area, as the spray can affect the tear resistance of condoms.
Can panthenol spray be used during pregnancy?
When used correctly, only a small amount of dexpanthenol enters the bloodstream through the skin. However, if you use the product on a large area during pregnancy or breastfeeding, you should consult a doctor or pharmacist beforehand, especially in areas where the child comes into contact with the skin.
Area of application
Panthenol spray supports wound healing of the skin in the case of cuts and abrasions, minor burns and scalds, mild sunburn, diaper rash and red, brittle skin. The foam is easy to spray on and contains no preservatives or perfumes, making it suitable for people with allergies.
