Description

Guardacid veterinary tablets are a dietary supplement for dogs and cats that have been specifically developed to reduce struvite crystals and prevent struvite stone recurrences.This product is particularly useful for lower urinary tract disorders in cats, including Feline Urological Syndrome (FUS).

DL-Methionine, an essential amino acid, acts as an acid regulator and uric acidifier.It is administered for feeding-related deficiency symptoms, unpleasant odors from catching the animals, urge to urinate, uncontrolled urination and sediment formation in the urine, such as struvite stones, struvite crystals and non-specific bladder problems.Guardacid tablets have been used successfully in the veterinary sector since 1989 and have an acidifying, regulating and preventative effect against the recurrence of struvite stones.

Each tablet contains 200 mg DL-methionine and is low in calcium, sodium and magnesium.Thanks to the addition of original New Zealand green-lipped mussels, the tablets are well accepted by animals.The pH value of urine can be easily measured using pH paper (measuring range 5.8 to 7).With regular use of Guardacid tablets, the pH value is permanently between 6 and 7.The levels of triple phosphate decline sharply and mostly disappear.A change of food is not absolutely necessary.Consistent and controlled feeding of Guardacid tablets, even over a recommended period of up to six months, noticeably promotes and strengthens the quality of life of the animals.

Application

The feeding recommendation per animal per day is 2 to 5 tablets for dogs and 2 to 4 tablets for cats.Water should be offered for free consumption.In individual cases, depending on the pH value and weight of the animal, more tablets may be necessary.It is recommended that you seek veterinary advice before feeding or if feeding is extended beyond the recommended period of 6 months.

Notes

After opening, the packaging should always be tightly closed, stored in a cool, dry place and out of the reach of animals.
