Directions for use of the article Widmer Selftan Lotion lightly scented: Widmer Selftan Lotion is a self-tanning lotion for face and body, suitable for all skin types. It contains the active ingredient DHA (dihydroxyacetone), which tans the top layer of skin without the risk of UV-radiation. Thanks to the partial encapsulation of the DHA , an even tan is achieved. The lotion is pleasant and non-greasy. In addition, it contains vitamin E as a radical scavenger and skin protector and aloe vera for extra moisture. Application: Before use, it is recommended to exfoliate the skin to ensure an even tan. Selftan lotion should be applied evenly to cleansed skin and allowed to absorb completely. On the face, the hairline and eyebrows should be avoided. Horny areas such as elbows, knees and heels tan more and should be treated more sparingly. Hands should be washed thoroughly with soap after application. Effect: The active ingredient DHA colours the upper horny layer of the skin brown. Part of the DHA is encapsulated in cyclodextrins, which leads to a natural and even tanning. The coloured skin layer disappears after a few days due to the natural exfoliation of the upper cell layers. The lotion also contains vitamin E for skin protection and aloe vera for added moisture. Tip: Not all skin types tan equally with self-tanning products. The intensity of the tan depends on the thickness of the horny layer. If the desired shade is too weak, the lotion can be applied twice. For a light tan, the face can be treated beforehand with a light day cream and the body with body lotion. The tan will appear after two to four hours. Contact with clothing should be avoided until the lotion is completely absorbed into the skin. Self-tanners do not protect against sunburn.
