What is seborrheic dermatitis?

Seborrheic dermatitis is an inflammatory skin condition characterized by redness, scaling and itching.These symptoms mainly occur in the fatty areas of the face or upper body as well as on hairy areas of the body.The cause lies in reduced sebum quality and excessive sebum production, which promotes the proliferation of yeast fungi (Malassezia) in the natural skin flora.These mushrooms release irritating substances.The symptoms can worsen with stress, certain illnesses or dry skin caused by genetics, aging or climatic stimuli (such as heated air or cold).

Area of application

The serum is used for red, flaky skin conditions that are often accompanied by itching.These can occur in the following areas: the central eyebrows, the root of the nose, the cheek region adjacent to the nostrils, the hairline, the external ear canal or the sweat grooves on the upper body.

The serum regulates sebum flow and improves sebum quality.It reduces the skin's tendency to inflammation and promotes the elimination of dandruff.It also limits the growth of “Malassezia” yeast fungi on the skin.It can also be used in hairy areas or in the external ear canal, preferably with a soaked cotton swab.

Active ingredients

The ingredients of the serum include S-Reguline® 40%, linoleic acid 3%, Solketal 31% (which optimizes the penetration of the active ingredients) and an alcoholic solution.

Contraindications

If you are known to be hypersensitive to any of the ingredients mentioned, the product should not be used.

Application

The serum should be applied to the affected skin areas once a day in the evening until improvement.One application every other evening is sufficient for maintenance.One drop is enough to treat the nostrils, eyebrows or external ear canal.Prior cleaning with a suitable cleaning product is recommended.If there is severe dandruff, the serum can be massaged in in the evening and left to work overnight.In the morning, your hair should be washed with a suitable anti-dandruff shampoo.The serum is also suitable for daily use.
