Instructions for use for Iscucin Pini St.A ampoules, 10x1 ml
Areas of application
Iscucin Pini Strength A, a liquid dilution for injection, is used in accordance with anthroposophical knowledge of humanity and nature. The areas of application include the stimulation of form and integration forces to dissolve and reintegrate independent growth processes. This includes treatment in adults with malignant tumor diseases, even if these are accompanied by disorders of the blood-forming organs. The preparation is also used for benign tumor diseases, defined precancerous lesions and to prevent recurrences after tumor operations.Iscucin Pini Starch A can also be used for chronic cross-border diseases such as Crohn's disease or chronic joint diseases.
Composition
One ampoule of Iscucin Pini Starch A contains Viscum album (Pini) e planta tota K Dil.Strength A 1 ml (HAB, Vs. 38).
Contraindications
Iscucin Pini must not be used in cases of known allergy to mistletoe preparations, acute inflammatory or high fever diseases, chronic granulomatous diseases, florid autoimmune diseases as well as those under immunosuppressive therapy and in hyperthyroidism with tachycardia.
Precautions and warnings
In the case of primary brain and spinal cord tumors or intracranial metastases with a risk of increased intracranial pressure, the preparations should only be administered according to strict indications and under close clinical control.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding
Effects of the drug on pregnancy, the development of the unborn child, birth and on the development of the child after birth, in particular the development of blood formation and the immune system in the unborn child/infant, have not been studied. The possible risk to humans is therefore unknown.Caution is advised when used during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Before using this medicine, ask your doctor for advice.
Ability to drive and use machines
There is no experience with regard to impairment of the ability to drive or use machines.
Interactions
There are no studies available on interactions with other immunomodulating substances (e.g. thymus extracts). If appropriate preparations are used promptly, careful dosing and monitoring of appropriate immune indicators is recommended.
Dosage and method of administration
The dosage is generally carried out individually according to the doctor's instructions. The treating doctor decides on the duration of use.The duration of use is in principle not limited and depends on the respective risk of recurrence and the individual condition or findings of the patient. It should last for several years, with breaks of increasing length as a rule.
Application error
We expressly point out that the dose should be increased cautiously.Increasing the dose too much, especially if you skip a dilution level in the lower strengths (e.g. from strength C to strength E), can lead to allergy-like reactions that require emergency measures.
Side effects
Like all medicines, Iscucin Pini can cause side effects, although not everyone gets them.A slight increase in body temperature and local inflammatory reactions at the subcutaneous injection site occur almost regularly at the beginning of therapy and are signs of the patient's reaction status.Temporary slight swelling of regional lymph nodes is also harmless. If there is a fever over 38°C (possibly with fatigue, shivering, general feeling of illness, headache and short-term dizziness) or in the case of larger local reactions over 5 cm in diameter, the next injection should only be given after these symptoms have subsided and in a reduced strength or dose. The fever caused by Iscucin injection should not be suppressed by antipyretic drugs. If a fever lasts longer than three days, an infectious process or tumor fever should be considered.Excessive local reactions can be avoided by using a lower strength of the preparation or a smaller amount of the dose.In this case, it is recommended to apply 0.1 - 0.5 ml of the starch used using a 1 ml graduated syringe.Localized or systemic allergic or allergoid reactions may occur (usually in the form of generalized itching, urticaria or rash, sometimes also with Quincke's edema, chills, shortness of breath and bronchospasm, occasionally with shock or as erythema exsudativum multiforme), which require discontinuation of the preparation and initiation of medical treatment. Activation of pre-existing inflammation and inflammatory irritation of superficial veins in the injection area are possible. Here, too, a temporary break in therapy is required until the inflammatory reaction subsides. The occurrence of chronic granulomatous inflammation (erythema nodosum) and autoimmune diseases (dermatomyositis) during mistletoe therapy has been reported.Symptoms of increased intracranial pressure in brain tumors/metastases during mistletoe therapy have also been reported.
