Opraclean dressings are specifically designed to support wound cleansing.They absorb wound exudate, cell debris and bacteria, which is particularly beneficial for deep wound pockets and wound cavities.The dressing materials impregnated with iodoform have an antimicrobial effect.When it comes into contact with the wound secretion, the iodoform decomposes and continuously releases small amounts of iodine.Another advantage is that the pathogens are not known to be resistant to iodine.

Areas of application

Opraclean dressing materials are used for antiseptic tamponade and drainage after surgical infection cleansing of abscesses, fistula-associated abscesses, ulcers, wound pockets and body cavities.

Properties

The antimicrobial and antifungal effects of Opraclean dressing materials have been confirmed for Staphylococcus aureus, Klebsiella pneumonia and Candida albicans.They support wound cleaning by absorbing wound exudates, cell debris and bacteria.Deep wound pockets and wound cavities can be easily packed.There is no known development of resistance and application is quick and easy.
