Vliwaktiv activated carbon absorbent compress is an innovative combination of a low-stick absorbent compress and an odor-binding wound dressing.This dressing has an antibacterial effect against Gram-positive bacteria and is particularly suitable for treating infected wounds and wounds with an unpleasant odor.The skin-friendly and breathable fleece cover promotes the transfer of exudate into the absorbent core, which offers a more pleasant situation for both the patient and the user by reducing odor.

Product composition

The Vliwaktiv activated carbon absorbent compress consists of the following ingredients: activated carbon fiber, viscose, polyamide, cellulose, polypropylene and hot melt adhesive, which is made from synthetic polymers with resins and waxes.

Areas of application

This dressing can be used for superficial wounds, moderate to heavily exuding wounds, and malodorous and/or infected wounds.It is also suitable as a secondary dressing in combination with Suprasorb Liquacel hydroactive fiber dressing, Suprasorb A calcium alginate dressing, Suprasorb A+Ag antimicrobial calcium alginate tamponade and Vliwaktiv Ag activated carbon tamponade with silver.

Properties

The Vliwaktiv activated carbon absorbent compress is characterized by its odor-binding effect, antibacterial effectiveness against Gram-positive bacteria, good absorption capacity, softness and flexibility as well as skin compatibility and breathability.

Notes

Please do not cut the bandage as activated carbon particles could get into the wound.Antibacterial effectiveness is based on in vitro data.
