Directions for use of the article Hyposens Lotion: Hyposens Lotion is a lotion with 24% lipids used for daily care of atopic dermatitis, dry, itchy skin and skin of the elderly. Almost two thirds of all children under 10 and almost all people over 60 have sensitive, dry and itchy skin. Harmful environmental influences, cold, dry heating air, stress and frequent washing can disrupt the natural skin barrier function. As a result, the skin loses moisture and typical symptoms such as skin roughness, tightness, flaking, cracking and itching appear. Hyposens Lotion has been specially developed for sensitive, dry and itchy skin, as itching is a particularly stressful side effect of dry skin. The lotion contains selected ingredients that have been tested for their skin compatibility under allergological aspects. The urea contained in the lotion increases the water-binding capacity of the skin, while polidocanol counteracts itching and moducine reduces redness, soothes the skin and reduces the need for cortisone. Hyposens lotion is free from dyes, fragrances, wool waxes, cortisone and preservatives. The lotion is recommended for moisturising, greasing and relieving itching in very dry, itchy skin and skin of the elderly. It can also be used as an adjunctive therapy for neurodermatitis, wash eczema and puritus senilis. It is used from the age of 5 and can be applied to affected areas of the skin one to several times a day. The lotion is quickly absorbed and leaves a pleasant cooling effect. The ingredients of Hyposens Lotion are Aqua, Paraffinum Liquidum, Urea, Pentylene Glycol, Laureth-9, Petrolatum, Cetearyl Alcohol, Sorbitan Stearate, Polysorbate 60, PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Lactose, Lactis Proteinum, Carbomer, Propylene Glycol, Disodium EDTA, Tocopherol and Sodium Hydroxide. The lotion is free from lanolin, fragrances, colourants and preservatives. It is recommended that the lotion should not come into contact with eyes and mucous membranes and should only be used for external application. It should not be applied to open skin areas.
