Information for use with the article Thyreo Komplex Pflüger Thyreo Komplex Pflüger is a homeopathic medicine used for thyroid disorders. It contains various active ingredients such as Acidum hydrofluoricum, Ephedra distachya, Euspongia officinalis, Ferrum sulphuricum, Fucus vesiculosus and Thyreoidinum suis. The indications are based on the homeopathic remedy pictures and include thyroid dysfunction with enlargement of the thyroid gland. The remedy should not be used without medical advice in cases of hypothyroidism. In case of ravenous appetite with nausea, sweating, restlessness, palpitations and trembling, a doctor should be consulted immediately, as this may indicate life-threatening hypoglycaemia. Thyreo Komplex Pflüger contains 51% alcohol by volume and should not be used in cases of iodine hypersensitivity. Other thyroid-active medicines should only be taken in consultation with a doctor. The medicinal product should only be used during pregnancy and breast-feeding after consultation with a doctor. It should not be used in children under 12 years of age. The recommended dosage is 5 drops every half to one hour for acute conditions, at most 6 times a day, and 5 drops 1-3 times a day for chronic conditions. The duration of use should not be exceeded without medical advice. Possible side effects are increased hyperthyroidism, nausea, gastrointestinal complaints, dizziness and increased blood pressure. A temporary worsening of existing symptoms may occur. It is recommended to report side effects to the doctor or pharmacist.
