Directions for use of the article Abnobaviscum Betulae 20 mg Ampoules Important information (compulsory information): - Abnobaviscum Betulae 20 mg ampoules, solution for injection. - Active substance: extract of fresh birch mistletoe herb. - Indications: In malignant tumour diseases, for relapse prophylaxis after tumour operations, in defined precancerous conditions, in benign tumour diseases. - Dosage, method and duration of use: Treatment starts with 0.02 mg three times a week and is gradually increased. The optimal dose must be determined individually. Various reactions such as change in subjective feeling, temperature reaction, immunological reaction and local inflammatory reaction may occur. - Maintenance phase: The individual dosage may be 0.02 mg. Otherwise, the dose is increased gradually. Violent reactions should be avoided when moving to higher strengths. Application is subcutaneous 2-3 times per week. - Side effects: A slight increase in body temperature and local inflammatory reactions may occur. In rare cases, allergic or allergoid reactions may occur. If side effects are suspected, this should be reported to the Federal Institute for Drugs and Medical Devices. - Contraindications: Known allergy to mistletoe preparations, acute inflammatory or high febrile diseases, chronic granulomatous diseases and florid autoimmune diseases, hyperthyroidism with tachycardia. - Pregnancy and lactation: Caution is advised as insufficient data are available. - Storage: Store in a refrigerator (2° C to 8° C).
