Fortimel Extra is a high-calorie and high-protein drinkable food without fibre. It can be prescribed and is available in 4 flavours. It is particularly suitable for patients with increased energy and protein requirements or protein deficiency, for example after operations, during convalescence, in the case of decubitus ulcers or in the case of frailty. Fortimel Extra must not be used if enteral nutrient intake is generally not possible or if there are intolerances to the ingredients. The recommended dosage for complementary feeding is 2 bottles per day. It is suitable from the age of 6 years and should only be used under medical supervision. It is a food for special medical purposes (balanced diet).
