It is prescribable, gluten-free and offers an extra portion of protein. It is suitable for patients with increased energy and protein requirements or protein deficiencies, e.g. after operations, during convalescence, in the case of decubitus ulcers or in the case of frailty. Fortimel Extra should only be used under medical supervision and is suitable from the age of 6 years. For complementary feeding, 2 bottles per day are recommended. It should not be used if enteral nutrition is generally not permitted or if there are intolerances to the ingredients.
