Kerapil Emulsion is a product for the treatment of chafed skin and excessive callus. It contains the active ingredient ammonium lactate with a fat content of 17%. The emulsion smoothes the skin by improving the natural exfoliation of horny cells and increasing the water-binding capacity. It does not stick to the skin and is quickly absorbed. It should be applied twice daily to the affected areas of the skin for the first 3 weeks, then continued once daily. The emulsion should not be used immediately after shaving or on open skin areas. It is also suitable for treating dry cuticles, brittle nails and ingrown hairs after shaving or epilation. In addition, it can increase the penetration ability of medicines for the treatment of highly keratinising fungal infections on hands or feet and can be used to prepare for photodynamic therapy.
