Tea tree oil is extracted from the parent plant Melaleuca alternifolia, which is native to Australia.The leaves of the plant are processed through steam distillation to extract the essential oil.The oil is characterized by a spicy and herbaceous scent profile and has a revitalizing and clarifying scent effect.

Application

Tea tree oil is an aromatic cosmetic for body care.It can be used as a skin and massage oil by mixing a maximum of 10 drops of the oil with 50 ml of a carrier oil such as almond oil.As a bath additive, 8 to 15 drops of the oil can be added to 4 tablespoons of cream or milk and stirred into the bath water.

Tea tree oil should only be used in the specified dilution.It must not be placed in the eyes or on the mucous membranes.The oil should also be kept out of the reach of children.
