Directions for use of the article Jalapa comp. drops: Jalapa comp. is a homeopathic medicinal product used for the treatment of intestinal cramps with mild diarrhoea. It contains the active ingredients Chamomilla recutita Dil. D 3 and Jalapa (HAB 34) Dil. D 4 as well as ethanol 15% (m/m). It is important to note that Jalapa comp. contains 29% alcohol by volume. Before taking Jalapa comp. you should note that you must not take it if you are allergic to camomile or other composite flowers. It is also important to consult your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. The dosage of Jalapa comp. depends on the nature of the symptoms. In acute conditions, 5 drops should be taken every half to a full hour, at most 6 times a day. In chronic conditions, 5 drops should be taken 1-3 times a day. The dosage for infants and children varies. Side effects of Jalapa comp. are not known so far. However, there may be a temporary worsening of symptoms, in which case you should stop taking the medicine and consult your doctor. Jalapa comp. should be kept out of the reach of children and should not be used after the expiry date.
