Contraindications

Dosage

Application

Unless otherwise prescribed, dogs receive 3 mg propentofylline per kg body weight (BW) twice daily.Administer KARSIVAN® morning and evening, hidden in a little food or a treat.Make sure not to give the tablets to your dog immediately after a large meal, but at least 30 minutes before.Old dogs should be treated with KARSIVAN® over a longer period of time, usually even for life.The clinical effectiveness can only be assessed with certainty after a treatment period of at least 4 weeks.When discontinuing KARSIVAN® , age-related symptoms can be expected to return.If your dog's condition does not improve after four weeks of treatment with KARSIVAN®, you should coordinate further therapy with your veterinarian.

Notes

Specific organ diseases (e.g. heart failure) must be treated primarily causally.If there is no improvement in the symptoms associated with circulatory disorders during use, the treatment should be stopped in a timely manner, but at the latest after 4 weeks, depending on the type of illness.Please do not use this medicine after the expiry date stated on the pack or outer packaging.The expiry date refers to the last day of the specified month.
