Summary: Acoin lidocaine hydrochloride 40 mg/ml solution is used for local anaesthesia of the throat and nose and for various diagnostic and surgical procedures. It must not be used if you are allergic to lidocaine hydrochloride or other local anaesthetics of the amide and ester type. Special caution is required in persons suffering from circulatory disorders of the heart, liver disease or reduced kidney function. Pregnant and lactating women should consult their doctor before use. The dosage should be determined individually by the doctor. Possible side effects are allergic reactions, local irritation, swelling of the mucous membranes and toxic side effects if the recommended dosage is exceeded. The medicine should be kept out of the reach of children and should not be used after the expiry date.
