Directions for use of the article Vitamin B12-ratiopharm 10 µg Important information: Vitamin B12-ratiopharm® 10 µg film-coated tablets. Active substance: cyanocobalamin. Indications: Prevention of vitamin B12 deficiency due to years of malnutrition. Warnings: Film-coated tablets contain lactose! Product characteristics: What is vitamin B12 -ratiopharm and what is it used for? Vitamin B12 -ratiopharm is a vitamin preparation. Cyanocobalamin belongs to the group of substances collectively known as "vitamin B12". Vitamin B12 -ratiopharm is used to prevent vitamin B12 deficiency caused by diet, e.g. vegetarian diet. How is vitamin B12 -ratiopharm used? The recommended dose is 1 film-coated tablet of vitamin B12 -ratiopharm (corresponding to 10 micrograms of cyanocobalamin) per day. The maximum daily dose should not be exceeded. It should be taken with sufficient liquid. Vitamin B12 -ratiopharm is intended to be taken for longer periods. Please consult your doctor about this. How should vitamin B12-ratiopharm be stored? Keep this medicine out of the reach of children. Do not use this medicine after the stated expiry date. Do not store above 25 °C. Store in the original packaging to protect the contents from moisture. Never dispose of medicinal products in waste water. What vitamin B12-ratiopharm contains: The active substance is cyanocobalamin. Each film-coated tablet contains 10 micrograms of cyanocobalamin. Other ingredients are lactose monohydrate, maize starch, cellulose powder, macrogol 6000, copovidone, talc, highly dispersed silicon dioxide, magnesium stearate (vegetable), hypromellose, glycerol and titanium dioxide (E 171). Mode of action: The active substance is a precursor of vitamin B12 and is converted into it in the body. Vitamin B12 is involved in blood formation in the body, among other things. Important information: Caution in case of intolerance to lactose. There may be medicines with which there are interactions. Always talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking a new medicine.
