Rheucastin drops is a homeopathic medicine for the treatment of musculoskeletal disorders. It contains the active ingredients Berberis vulgaris, Colchicum autumnale, Gaultheria procumbens and Pseudognaphalium obtusifolium. Rheucastin is used to treat rheumatism. The medicine must not be taken by people who are allergic to salicylates, colchicine or composites, by people under 18 years of age and during pregnancy and breast-feeding. In the case of acute conditions or persistent, unclear complaints, a doctor should be consulted. Rheucastin can be taken together with other medicines, but you should consult your doctor if you are taking other medicines. Side effects have not been reported so far. The recommended dosage for adults is 5-10 drops every half to one hour for acute conditions, up to a maximum of 12 times a day, and 5-10 drops 1-3 times a day for chronic conditions. The medicine should not be taken for a long time without medical advice. Rheucastin contains 52% alcohol by volume and should be kept out of the reach of children and not used after the expiry date.
