Summary: Nicorette Inhaler with 15 mg nicotine is a tobacco cessation product used to treat tobacco dependence and relieve withdrawal symptoms. It can also be used to reduce cigarette consumption in order to achieve smoking cessation. It is used as needed when cravings for a cigarette arise or withdrawal symptoms occur. The dosage is based on the smoker's tobacco dependence and averages 3-4 cartridges per day for less heavily tobacco dependent smokers and 4-6 cartridges per day for heavily tobacco dependent smokers. One cartridge can replace up to 7 cigarettes. The duration of treatment is usually 3 months. Longer use is not recommended. Nicorette Inhaler is used inhalationally by absorbing the nicotine through the lining of the mouth and throat. Side effects may include irritation of the mouth and throat, hiccups, dizziness and sore throat. The inhaler is not suitable for children and adolescents under 18 years of age. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should consult their doctor before use. An overdose may cause symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain and headache. It should be kept out of the reach of children. A doctor or pharmacist should be consulted if there are further questions on the use.
