ALOPEXY® 5% Solution against hereditary hair loss

ALOPEXY® 5% Solution is a remedy for moderate, hereditary hair loss, also known as androgenetic alopecia, in men.The solution is used twice a day and can be easily integrated into the evening and morning care routine.After just two months, fillings can be visible on the temples and back of the head. ALOPEXY® 5% solution effectively reduces hair loss, fills receding hairlines and stimulates new hair growth.

No prescription is required for this product.

Mode of action

ALOPEXY® 5% Solution contains the active ingredient minoxidil in a 5% concentration.Minoxidil has a stimulating effect on the fine blood vessels in the scalp and thus promotes the supply and absorption of important nutrients for the hair substance.This improves the supply situation of the hair follicle, the hair roots can recover and remain active.In this way, new hair growth is stimulated and blood circulation in the hair root area is improved.

Studies have shown that minoxidil results in significant improvement in hair growth.An internal ex-vivo study by Pierre Fabre shows that minoxidil can be absorbed 4.6 times into the hair root and scalp when the treatment is combined with the scalp invigorating cream shampoo ANAPHASE+ from DUCRAY.

ALOPEXY® 5% Solution contains the following active ingredients and excipients: 50 mg minoxidil, ethanol 96% (V/V), propylene glycol and purified water.

Contraindications

ALOPEXY® 5% Solution must not be used if you are hypersensitive to the active ingredient minoxidil or any of the other ingredients.The product should also not be used if you have an intolerance reaction to the 2% minoxidil solution or if you have illnesses or injuries to the scalp.There are no sufficient data for use in children, adolescents under 18 years of age and people over 65 years of age.

Dosage

ALOPEXY® 5% Solution is applied to the affected scalp areas twice daily, morning and evening.The hair should be dry before use.The daily application dose should not be more than 2 milliliters.The solution can be applied using the included dropper pipette or spray pump.

Intake

ALOPEXY® 5% Solution is intended for external use.Wash your hands thoroughly before and after applying the solution.The solution should be distributed with your fingertips over the entire scalp area to be treated.The application depends on the respective application system: dosing dropper pipette or dosing pump with applicator.

Patient information

Particular caution is required when using it if you suffer or have suffered from cardiovascular disease.The recommendation that this medicine should not be used by women is due to the risk of abnormal hair growth (hypertrichosis).

You should not use this medicine in the following cases: if there is no family history of hair loss, sudden and/or uneven hair loss, pregnancy-related hair loss or hair loss of unknown cause.In these cases, you should consult a doctor before use as the treatment may be ineffective for these types of hair loss.

During use, due to the alcohol content, the solution may cause burning or irritation in the event of accidental contact with the eyes, wounds, irritated skin or mucous membranes.Rinse the affected area with plenty of cold tap water.If symptoms persist, consult a doctor.

The treated scalp should not be exposed to sunlight: wear head protection (hat).

Do not swallow.Accidental ingestion may result in adverse effects due to minoxidil's effects on the cardiovascular system.Therefore, keep this medicine out of the reach and reach of children.See a doctor immediately!

Don't inhale.

Some patients have experienced changes in hair color and/or texture.

This treatment requires regular medical checks, especially at the beginning of therapy.

Stop use immediately and seek medical attention if you experience any of the following symptoms: low blood pressure, chest pain, increased pulse rate, weakness or dizziness, sudden unexplained weight gain, swollen hands or feet (edema), persistent redness or irritation of the scalp.

Impairment of the ability to drive and use machines is unlikely.

Pregnancy

This medicine is not recommended for women. Avoid use during pregnancy or breastfeeding.Before using any medicines, ask your doctor or pharmacy for advice.

Notes

ALOPEXY® 5% Solution has also been specifically developed for hereditary hair loss.In cases of temporary or diffuse hair loss, minoxidil can cause abnormal reactions and should not be used.

Serious allergic reactions may occur when using the drug.If swelling of the face, lips or throat occurs that makes swallowing or breathing difficult, please see a doctor immediately.

ALOPEXY® 5% Solution should not be used by women as abnormal hair growth (hypertrichosis) is often expected.
