Summary: Fresenius Freeflex+ isotonic saline solution is mainly used as a fluid replacement for hypotonic and isotonic dehydration, short-term intravascular volume replacement, to moisten dressings and as a carrier solution for electrolyte concentrates and compatible medications. The solution consists of 0.9% sodium chloride with a similar electrolyte content as in blood plasma. It should not be used in cases of hypersensitivity to sodium chloride or certain components, or in states of overhydration. The dosage is based on fluid and electrolyte requirements, with the maximum daily dose depending on the clinical situation. The solution is administered intravenously and may also be used to prepare preparations for injection or infusion. Particular caution should be exercised in certain conditions such as cardiac insufficiency, renal insufficiency and fluid retention in tissues or lungs.
