Instructions for use for the isotonic sodium chloride solution 0.9 %

Isotonic sodium chloride solution 0.9% is a saline solution used to dissolve or dilute medicines administered by injection (syringe).The finished solutions will be given to you by a doctor or medical professional.

Application and active ingredient

The isotonic sodium chloride solution 0.9% is used by medical personnel.The amount depends on how much of the solution is needed to make the finished preparation.The finished solution is given as an injection either into a vein or under the skin.

The active ingredient is sodium chloride (table salt).100 ml of the solution for injection contains 0.9 g of sodium chloride.The other ingredient is water for injections.

Precautions

Particular caution is required if blood levels of sodium and/or chloride are excessive.Tell your doctor or pharmacist about other medicines you are taking.Interactions with other medicines are not known.Before treatment, tell your doctor if you are pregnant or breast-feeding.

Side effects and storage

If used correctly, no side effects are to be expected.Keep the medicine out of the reach and reach of children and do not use it after the expiry date.No special storage conditions are required.Do not use the solution if you notice cloudiness or suspended particles, or if the container is damaged.
