Instructions for use for GC Tooth Mousse Strawberry, 40 g
GC Tooth Mousse - Bioavailable calcium and phosphate without fluoride
GC Tooth Mousse is a water-based cream that contains the active ingredient Recaldent™.This is obtained from milk protein, more precisely from casein. It has long been known that milk and milk products protect teeth.Research has shown that this is due to a part of the protein casein, casein phosphopeptide (CPP).This carries calcium and phosphate ions in the form of amorphous calcium phosphates (ACP).
GC Tooth Mousse is the first professional product to contain this CPP-ACP-complex (Recaldent™).This complex is an ideal supplier of bioavailable calcium and phosphate ions. CPP-ACP was developed at the School of Dental Science at the University of Melbourne in Australia.Recaldent™ is a trademark under license. No prescription is required for this product. However, it should not be used in people with allergy to milk protein or hydroxybenzoates.
Natural defense against tooth decay
GC Tooth Mousse offers a natural defense against tooth decay and is particularly suitable for patients who have a low to medium risk of tooth decay, have demineralized areas (white spots), suffer from hypersensitivity before and after teeth whitening or have undergone professional root scaling or cleaning. The product is also suitable for children under six years of age.
Advantages
When GC Tooth Mousse is applied to the tooth surface, the CPP-ACP-molecule binds to biofilm, plaque, bacteria, hydroxyl apatite and the surrounding soft tissue. This provides bioavailable calcium and phosphate ions. This prevents demineralization of the enamel and initiates remineralization. In addition, hypersensitivity is reduced by closing open dentin tubules. The anti-cariogenic properties of the product prevent the formation of tooth decay and eliminate demineralized areas. The pleasant taste stimulates the flow of saliva and thereby increases the effectiveness of the CPP-ACP.
Application
The use of GC Tooth Mousse is carried out by or under the supervision of a dental professional.Further information can be found in the instructions for use.
Ingredients
The ingredients of GC Tooth Mousse are: water, glycerol, CPP-ACP, D-sorbitol, CMC-Na, propylene glycol, silicon dioxide (silica), titanium dioxide, xylitol, phosphoric acid, flavor, zinc oxide, sodium saccharin, ethyl p-hydroxybenzoate, magnesium oxide, guar gum, propyl p-hydroxybenzoate E217 andButyl p-hydroxybenzoate.
Product features
GC Tooth Mousse is a cream with bioavailable calcium and phosphate. It contains Recaldent™ (CPP-ACP), which when used binds to plaque, biofilms, bacteria, hydroxyapatites and soft tissue and releases bioavailable calcium and phosphate. The taste promotes saliva production, which increases the effect of CPP-ACP .The longer CPP-ACP and saliva remain in the mouth, the better the result.
Contraindications
GC Tooth Mousse should not be used in patients with milk protein allergy or allergy/sensitization to preservatives containing benzoate.
Usage
GC Tooth Mousse can be used in various situations, such as before and after bleaching, after ultrasonic or manual tooth cleaning, after dental cervical treatments, after professional tooth cleaning, after the application of topical fluorine, as surface protection in erosions, xerostomia or Sjögren's syndrome, during orthodontic treatments, at high risk of caries and for patients with special needs.
Application in practice
It can be used in practice with or without an individual spoon. When used with a spoon, it is cleaned after bleaching, filled with GC Tooth Mousse and applied to the upper and/or lower jaw.The spoon remains in the mouth for at least three minutes, then the remaining cream is spread with the tongue and kept in the mouth for at least one to two minutes.Remains are carefully spit out and the patient should not eat or drink again for at least 30 minutes after treatment. When using without a spoon, the cream is applied with a swab, glove or interproximal brush and left in the mouth for at least three minutes.
Home use
GC Tooth Mousse can also be used at home.A sufficient amount of the cream is applied to the upper and lower jaw and left undisturbed for at least three minutes. The remaining cream is then spread with the tongue and kept in the mouth for at least one to two minutes. Residues can easily remain in the oral cavity and the patient should not eat or drink again for at least 30 minutes after application.Application in the evening or at night is also possible, whereby the cream can remain in the oral cavity overnight.
Flavors and storage
GC Tooth Mousse is available in strawberry, melon, vanilla, mint and tutti-frutti flavors. For optimal storage, the product should be stored in a cool and dry place, protected from direct sunlight, at temperatures between 8-25°C.The shelf life is two years from the date of production. The pack sizes include tubes with a content of 40g (35 ml) each, assortment packs with 10 x 40g in different flavors and refill packs with a tube of 40g in each flavor.
