Ell-Cranell 250 microgram/ml solution is a medical scalp treatment for the treatment of mild hormonal hereditary hair loss in men and women. It contains the active ingredient alfatradiol, which increases the rate of hair growth by inhibiting the conversion of testosterone into dihydrotestosterone, which damages the hair. The solution is applied to the scalp once a day and is easy to use. It is non-greasy, odourless and does not need to be washed out. The first treatment successes can be observed after only six to eight weeks. The application period is usually three to six months. Ell-Cranell is well tolerated and can be used to increase hair growth. However, it should not be used if there is hypersensitivity to the ingredients or in children and adolescents under 18 years of age. Side effects are rare but may include skin irritation, redness, itching, burning or rash.
