Lomatuell Pro is a gel-forming contact mesh specifically developed for wound care.The recommended dressing change interval is usually 2 to 4 days.However, depending on the type and healing progress of the wound, the bandage can be left on the wound for a longer period of time, up to a maximum of 7 days, or for a shorter period of time.

Product composition

The product consists of a polyester fiber mesh tulle impregnated with a coating compound.This coating is composed of a polymer matrix, an elastically deformable fixing compound, petroleum jelly and hydrocolloid.

Areas of application

Lomatuell Pro is suitable for different wound healing phases, including the exudation phase, the granulation phase and the epithelialization phase.

It can be used for chronic wounds such as leg ulcers, diabetic foot ulcers and pressure ulcers.The product is also suitable for acute wounds such as tears, cuts and abrasions as well as second degree burns.

In addition, Lomatuell Pro is suitable for post-surgical wounds such as secondary healing OP-wounds and split-thickness skin donor sites.It can also be used as a wound spacing grid in combination with negative pressure therapy, based on in-vitro studies.

Properties

Lomatuell Pro forms a gel layer made of petroleum jelly and hydrocolloid particles.It enables atraumatic dressing changes and is easy to use.The material can be used on both sides and can be cut to suit different wound sizes and areas of the body.

The product supports wound healing and minimizes the risk of adhesion to the wound.It is flexible and cuddly, ensures good exudate drainage into the secondary dressing and ensures painless dressing changes.
