Directions for use Medivitan iV solution for injection in pairs of ampoules: Medivitan iV ampoules are a vitamin preparation used for a combined deficiency of vitamin B6, vitamin B12 and folic acid that cannot be corrected nutritionally. The recommended dose is to inject one dose intramuscularly or intravenously 2 times a week and to carry out this therapy for 4 weeks (8 injections in total). For intestinal absorption disorders, administer Medivitan iV ampoules intramuscularly or intravenously at 4-week intervals. Between injections, daily oral folic acid should be administered. Medivitan iV solution for injection in pairs of ampoules contains the active substances pyridoxine hydrochloride, cyanocobalamin and folic acid. The other ingredients are sodium chloride, sodium hydroxide and water for injection. This medicine must not be used if you are hypersensitive (allergic) to pyridoxine hydrochloride, cyanocobalamin, folic acid or any of the other ingredients. It is also contraindicated in the presence of inflammatory tissue changes in the area of application, suspected folic acid hypersensitivity, megaloblastic anaemia due to isolated vitamin B12 deficiency or isolated folic acid deficiency. The medicinal product is used for intramuscular or intravenous injection. It should be kept out of reach of children and should not be used after the expiry date.
