DracoFoam Infect Heel is a sterile foam wound dressing that has been specially developed for infected wounds on the heel or elbow.It is ideal for silver-free infection control in both chronic and acute wounds.The wound dressing enables effective combating of wound infections and the care of moderately to heavily exuding wounds, even in difficult areas of the body.The anatomical 3D shape ensures a precise application on strongly arched areas of the body.DracoFoam Infect Heel does not stick to the wound and acts as a barrier that absorbs microorganisms from the wound exudate and counteracts the colonization or spread of bacteria within the wound dressing.

The polyhexanide-containing foam wound dressing is particularly gentle on patients and tolerated, as polyhexanide has no resorption and no development of resistance and is particularly well tolerated by tissue.Further advantages include the powerful exudate absorption and evaporation rate as well as the granulation-promoting effect due to the curvature towards the wound base.DracoFoam Infect Heel is suitable for critically colonized or infected wounds, superficial wounds, heel decubitus and diabetic foot ulcers.It can remain on the wound during various examinations such as EEG, EKG, X-ray, ultrasound and MRT , resulting in fewer dressing changes.The wound dressing is also suitable for use under compression therapy and can be optimally fixed with bandages such as elastic fixation bandages.When changing the dressing, DracoFoam Infection Heel can be easily removed.
