Minoxidil BIO-H-TIN-Pharma is a drug used to treat hereditary hair loss in women.It contains the active ingredient minoxidil, which promotes the regrowth of new hair in already thinned areas and strengthens existing hair.After application, the active ingredient penetrates the scalp and reaches the hair roots.The mechanism by which it stimulates hair growth has not yet been clarified.It will take at least four months before you can see any success.If hair roots are still present, fine, light downy hairs can grow back, which become longer, denser and darker over time.How quickly hair growth begins and how much hair grows back varies.Large bald patches or hair loss that has existed for more than 10 years respond less well to the medication.Minoxidil BIO-H-TIN-Pharma is to be used in adults aged 18 to 65 years.No prescription is required for this product.

Mode of action

Contraindications

Minoxidil BIO-H-TIN-Pharma must not be used if you are allergic to minoxidil or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.It must not be used in children and adolescents under 18 years of age.There are insufficient data on safety and effectiveness in patients over 65 years of age.Hair loss after the birth of a child is normal to a certain extent, so the medicine should not be used in this case.Certain types of hair loss can be a sign of a physical illness.In this case the medicine will not work and it is important for your health that you see a doctor.The medicine will also not work if the hair loss is caused by certain medicines, severe nutritional problems, stopping taking "pills", scalp damaged by scarring or burns, or hairstyles in which the hair is tied tightly.If you are unsure about the causes of hair loss, you should consult your doctor.

Dosage

Always use this medicine exactly as described or exactly as discussed with your doctor or pharmacist.Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are unsure.Please only use the medicine on healthy, uninjured scalp and strictly adhere to the following instructions for use.Do not apply the medicine to other parts of the body.The recommended dose is 1 milliliter (ml) each morning and evening on the thinning or bald areas of the scalp.The medicine can be distributed very well - 1 ml is enough for large areas.Under no circumstances should you use more.If you use the medicine regularly twice a day, you should see new hairs after about four months.Hair loss is stopped sooner.If you use more than you should, it may cause serious side effects.This is due to the vasodilating effect of minoxidil.Signs of an overdose usually manifest themselves in the cardiovascular area (accelerated heartbeat with low blood pressure and reduced fluid excretion).The treatment must definitely be carried out by a doctor.

However, the scalp should not be moistened for approximately 4 hours to avoid washing off Minoxidil BIO-H-TIN-Pharma.Minoxidil BIO-H-TIN-Pharma can be distributed very well - 1 ml is enough for large areas.Under no circumstances should you use more.

Patient information

Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist before using the medicine.It may only be applied to healthy, uninjured scalp.Only a very small proportion of the drug penetrates the skin.Particularly in hypersensitive patients or patients with heart disease, side effects that do not affect the skin can never be completely ruled out.If you notice edema or heart problems, please inform your doctor.If the medicine accidentally gets into your eyes, it may cause irritation and stinging.This also applies to sensitive surfaces such as mucous membranes or abraded areas.In such cases, rinse off the medicine with plenty of water.To prevent the medicine from accidentally coming into contact with other parts of your body, you should wash your hands after each use of the medicine.If you become pregnant, please stop treatment.The medicine must not be swallowed!Accidental ingestion may result in serious adverse effects.The medicine must therefore be kept out of the sight and reach of children.Inhalation of the drug should be avoided.As soon as you stop using the medicine, the hair loss starts again.Exposure to artificial UV-light or sunlight should be avoided.In some patients, hair color and texture changed after treatment with minoxidil.If you have heart disease, you should consult your doctor before using the medicine.You should stop using this medicine and seek medical attention if blood pressure falls, chest pain, rapid heartbeat, feeling weak or dizzy, sudden unexplained weight gain, swollen hands or feet, persistent redness or irritation of the scalp.If your symptoms worsen or do not improve within 12 months, please see a doctor.The medicine must not be used in children and adolescents under 18 years of age.It is not expected that the ability to actively participate in road traffic or operate machines will be impaired.

Pregnancy

If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before using this medicine.There is little experience with the use of the drug during pregnancy.Minoxidil absorbed into the body passes into breast milk.The medicine can be used during pregnancy and breast-feeding provided that the maternal benefit is greater than the risk to the unborn child or infant.

Notes

Contains propylene glycol.Two to six weeks after the first application, you may initially experience increased hair loss.This accelerated hair loss, which is accompanied by increased hair regrowth, resolves within a few weeks and can be the first sign of minoxidil's effect.Please read the package leaflet.Please do not use this medicine after the expiry date stated on the pack or outer packaging.The expiry date refers to the last day of the specified month.

Spray head - for large area use

Remove the cap from the spray head and spray directly onto the scalp in the area of hair loss.Seven pumps yield 1 ml of solution.After each pumping process, spread the liquid over the affected area with your fingertips. When doing this, avoid inhaling spray fumes.Close the bottle with the cap after each use.

Pump spray applicator with extended tip - for small area use

Remove the cap from the bottle.Pull the spray head upwards, place the applicator with the extended tip on top and let it click into place with light pressure.The Minoxidil solution is now ready for use.The extended tip means you can now spray directly onto the scalp in the area of hair loss.After each pumping process, spread the liquid over the affected area with your fingertips.Avoid inhaling spray fumes.To save space, the applicator can simply be turned down after use.
