Wortie® against warts and plantar warts

Wortie® offers an effective, easy and quick method of wart removal for self-treatment.The product is suitable for children aged 4 and over and allows common warts and plantar warts to be frozen, similar to cryotherapy used by doctors.No prescription is required for this product.

Warts and plantar warts are small skin growths caused by human papillomavirus (HPV) infection.Common warts often appear on the fingers, back of the hands, knees, elbows, or the tops of the toes.They are rough and shaped like a cauliflower.The wart virus is highly contagious and can be transmitted from person to person through direct contact with the infected area.

Foot warts (plantar warts) are similar to common warts, but only appear on the sole of the foot or under the toes.They are usually painful and appear as small white rings with black dots in the middle.Foot warts are also contagious and can be spread through contact of the infected area with wet surfaces, such as floors.

Mode of action

Wortie® specifically ices warts and plantar warts using a unique precision applicator.The rounded metal tip ensures precise icing, which protects surrounding, healthy skin areas from accidental icing.This makes the treatment less painful.

When icing, the treated area may temporarily turn white and turn reddish after thawing.The icing process can cause blisters to form under the wart.Within 10 to 14 days, the wart will gradually disappear or fall off and be replaced by new, healthy skin.In general, one application is sufficient.If a second treatment is necessary, this should only take place after 14 days at the earliest.

It is advisable to allow the metal tip to warm to room temperature after each use before treating further warts or plantar warts.Before use, it may be helpful to soak the wart in warm water for a few minutes to help penetrate the callus.

The active ingredient in Wortie® is dimethyl ether.

Contraindications

The product should not be used if you are known to be hypersensitive to dimethyl ether.

Dosage

Recommended use of Wortie®:

1. Remove the lid and place the container on a table or flat surface.Hold the cuff below the rotating head with your thumb and forefinger.

2. Turn the top rotary head counterclockwise to position I and press the rotary head down for 3 seconds.Be careful not to touch the metal tip.You hear a hissing noise.

3. Release the rotary head and ensure that it automatically returns to position 0 before using the product.Wait 2 seconds while the metal tip of the precision applicator freezes.

4. Place the frozen metal tip precisely on the wart and maintain contact with the wart for 20 seconds (hand) to 40 seconds (foot).A slight pain during icing is normal and should subside after a few hours.

Application

Treat the wart or plantar wart once with Wortie® according to the instructions.It is important to follow these carefully to avoid skin damage or scarring.

In most cases, one treatment per wart is sufficient.If there is no improvement after three treatments, consult a doctor.After application, wait 14 days for the wart to fall off.If no change is noticeable, you can use Wortie® a second time.Always wait 14 days between applications.

After use, clean the metal tip with alcohol and a cloth.When treating multiple warts, please wait 20 minutes or until the metal tip reaches room temperature before reactivating the precision applicator.

Notes

Do not apply Wortie® to the face and mucous membranes.Wortie® contains dimethyl ether.
